Write Now is an interactive writing workshop that challenges students to see writing rules not as limitations, but as tools for creativity. Students will experiment with writing under invented constraints, analyze what makes different genres unique, and collaborate in playful activities that stretch imagination and sharpen writing skills. The workshop culminates in the creation of an original sonnet, where students will break down the form together, understand its rules and rhythm, and then craft their own piece individually. Led by **Altesa Baker**, a teaching artist, writer, and arts educator with over 20 years of experience designing engaging literacy and theater-based learning experiences for schools, libraries, and community programs.
