The world may be getting less perfect, but at least we are slowly starting to have the works of Elaine May available for viewing, and thus that much richer with odd comedy. Henry, a carefree playboy having just burned through his trust fund and allergic to the idea of actual work, turns his efforts toward landing a sugar mama with comically disastrous results. In the nick of time, he meets Henrietta, a clumsy heiress with a passion for botany, and the two marry. Moving into her home and formulating a plan to murder her and collect, he finds stiff competition with her lawyer and household staff all already preying on her wealth. When Henrietta sets out to find the new species of fern she has discovered, Henry tags along for the canoe trip in the Adirondacks, finding it a perfect opportunity for an accident.
