TreePeople and Living Earth Present: This gathering is a tribute to the life, spiritual legacy, and devotional music of Swamini Turiyasangitananda (Alice Coltrane), on the night of Turiyasangitananda’s 89th solar return. The evening celebrates the enduring influence of the Sai Anantam Ashram she founded in 1976, where music, chanting, meditation, and spiritual teachings welcomed people of all faiths. Led by Surya Botofasina—who was raised at the Ashram and mentored by Turiyasangitananda—the event will feature live bhajans and progressive devotional music inspired by her work, along with Ashram recordings, informal screenings, and a communal altar. Organized in partnership with TreePeople and Living Earth, the gathering also honors the shared histories of the Ashram and TreePeople, whose restoration efforts followed the 2018 Woolsey Fire, with donations supporting the musicians, the long-term vision of restoring the Ashram, and TreePeople’s environmental initiatives.
