Coaxial, Los Angeles
Join artist and herbalist Paige Emery on an afternoon hike to connect with the local plants and sacred waters of the Angeles Forest. Along the trail we’ll pause to learn about working in right relationship with our regional flora, share tea brewed with herbs from Paige’s garden, hold a guided meditation to connect us with our local forest, and sit among our more-than-human neighbors for an ecopoetic writing session. No experience necessary ~ come as you are. What to bring: • an offerings for the water (tobacco, cacao, flowers) • swimwear for when we reach the waterfall (if you’d like) • sun protection (hat , sunglasses, sunscreen) • blanket to sit on • journal and pencil • plenty of water • an open heart *Please arrive early to find parking so that we can leave on time. You’ll also need an adventure pass for parking which can be purchased ($5 day use or $30 annual use) online, at REI, at the last gas station before entering the Angeles Forest, or checked out freely at your local library. If you have an ‘America The Beautiful’ Interagency Parks Pass you can also just leave that on your dashboard.
