Sweet angel andrew cs is in town for a moment to stare at the mountains, be one with the plants, and release their new EP ᵒ˶°´ with our Leaving Records family. ᵒ˶°´ is the first entry in an ongoing series exploring the world of insects and other macroinvertebrates. Inspired by an ongoing shift in perspective informed by personal experiences with these animals, each song on and’s new collection of music invites the listener into the mind of a bug — to imagine their thoughts, their feelings, their dreams — in hopes of fostering a world where empathy extends from the smallest creatures, even those that may bring fear or discomfort. To tap into the sights and visions of our bug buds we’ve asked Plant Material to host us for an afternoon of gentle music among their gorgeous collection of Southern Californian native plants. Join us amidst pollinators, trees, and groundcover to learn more about our local biodiversity, nourish the spirit with art, and maybe even leave with your own new plant pal.
