The Wende Museum presents a centennial concert honoring **Aurelio de la Vega** (1925–2022), the Cuban-born, world-renowned composer who taught in CSUN’s Department of Music for more than three decades Presented in conjunction with our exhibition *The Sextant* by Enrique Martínez Celaya, this afternoon program features a short introductory lecture followed by a live chamber music performance. De la Vega’s music reflects a life shaped by displacement, political rupture, and artistic independence; all themes that closely parallel Celaya’s exploration of memory, loss, and belonging. This concert is part of the international Aurelio de la Vega Centennial, with performances and lectures taking place worldwide.
