Grammy award winning pianist Bill Charlap has performed with many of the leading artists of our time, from Wynton Marsalis and Tony Bennett to Phil Woods and Ron Carter. Since 1997, his trio has been recognized as one of the leading groups in jazz. "I met Melinda Sullivan in 2019 when Inara George and I were workshopping a musical of ours (which is still in development), and I was instantly amazed and by her joyous and spontaneous tap dancing, not to mention her overall musicianship. We eventually made a few videos in my home studio without rehearsing...we just jammed. Melinda has all the skills of a great jazz instrumentalist. Her time and feel are impeccable, she's well versed in the American popular song repertoire, (and many other genres), and she is simply a great "drummer" and improviser and accompanist.
