Alamo Drafthouse Cinema - Downtown, Los Angeles
This completely one of a kind film is a “sequel” to a movie that does not exist, instead serving as a gut-busting satire of the outrageous hyper macho action heroes that defined decades of action cinema. Blind Cop was once the city’s heroic symbol of justice before the sudden murder of his partner, Mac, sent him spiraling into a grief induced alcoholism. When a gunfire fueled car chase ends up offering new answers about his partner’s death, Blind Cop sets his sights on chasing vengeance. With the help of a bright eyed young man named Schmidty who still sees him as a hero, an action packed journey begins that will take them far outside the lengths of the law. While the answers they seek may not be what anyone could have expected (Unless you’ve watched an action movie from the 80s at least once) the ensuing drama, hilarity, and ultra violence will keep you wanting to see more! After a big-time East Coast roadshow, the smash hit indie action-comedy BLIND COP 2 is exploding onto the big screen for the first time in the West Coast! Come see the absurdly hilarious and outrageously over the top micro budget movie that has been blowing audiences away around the world! Alec Bonk (Writer/Director), Augustin Huffman (Co-Writer/DP), and Isaac McKinnon (Co-Star/Co-Writer) will be joining us after the screening for a Q&A! So stick around and they will answer all your hard hitting questions about how they made an indie action flick with basically no money. "Indie send-up of ‘80s action films that is becoming a cult favorite. And, no, there is no “BLIND COP 1.” -Houston Chronicle
