Laura Jesson meets Alex Harvey by chance at a railway station on her way home from a neighboring town. Both happily married, the pair begin to second-guess their comfortable lives when their brief encounter turns into a regular meetup and their initial friendship blossoms into something a little more. A perfect classic directed by the great David Lean (LAWRENCE OF ARABIA), BRIEF ENCOUNTER is a tender, forgiving look at an emotional affair.
