Folkyeah presents a night of heavy sounds, avant-rock and ecstatic noise from BUÑUEL and Serpentine Transmission. **BUÑUEL** boasts the singular vocals and razor sharp lyrics of Eugene S. Robinson (OXBOW) and a powerhouse trio comprised of guitarist Xabier Iriondo (AFTERHOURS, A SHORT APNEA), bassist Andrea Lombardini (The FRAMERS) and drummer Frank Valente (IL TEATRO DEGLI ORRORI), alongside collaborators like Duane Denison of Jesus Lizard. "BUÑUEL take every opportunity to stretch their musical tendrils towards discomfort, surrealism and the deconstruction of tradition, as they reach absolute abandon. “Mansuetude” dives into the eye of the storm and beyond, encompassing many moods, from post-hardcore to avant-noise, hard blues to post-industrial, from symphonic thrash to metal to free-jazz, all played at great cost." – Bandcamp **Serpentine Transmission** is an improvised music quartet of Nicki Chen (electro acoustic viola and pedals), Nicholas Deyoe (guitar), M.A. Harms (drums/percussion), and Micaela Tobin (voice and electronics). In performance, they creep their way through delicate melodies and atmospheric textures into extreme sound walls of avant-doom, cathartic drone, and vehement noise.
