California African American Museum (CAAM), Los Angeles
For this special edition of CAAM Creates, join CAAM Docent and published poet Estella Holeman, known to readers as Stella the Poet, for a hands-on poetry workshop. The workshop draws on the legacy of Langston Hughes and Black queer poetic traditions to bring the themes of *A New Song: Langston Hughes in the West* and *Free and Queer: Black Californian Roots of Gay Liberation* to life on the page. Connect with neighbors and discover how art reflects and enriches your own story. All ages and abilities are welcome. Free RSVP is encouraged, but not required. Walk-ins welcome. Bringing a large group? Email the CAAM team at iDesk@caamuseum.org.
