California African American Museum (CAAM), Los Angeles
Inspired by the exhibition *Sinners: Songs that Summon*, this workshop invites participants of all ages to slow down, look closely, and reflect through hands-on making. Participants will decorate small translucent lanterns lit by LED tea lights, with the aim of recreating an eerie juke-joint glow reminiscent of the film’s visuals. Visitors may join at any time and leave with artwork to take home. Design Hive is a Los Angeles–based creative education studio that designs hands-on maker workshops and STEAM experiences for museums, schools, and community organizations. All ages and abilities are welcome. Free RSVP is encouraged, but not required. Walk-ins welcome. Bringing a large group? Email the CAAM team at iDesk@caamuseum.org.
