Dance In Progress is an informal split-bill evening featuring works by Mike Tyus and Jobel Medina, centered on choreography still in development. The event invites audiences into the creative process, offering a chance to witness work as it is being shaped. Where risk, discovery, and transformation remain visible. This will be the second iteration of Dance In Progress which has supported early iterations of work that have gone on to evolve into fully realized pieces with extended life beyond the studio. It reflects a belief that the act of making holds as much weight as the final product. The evening also creates space for dialogue, fostering a more direct exchange between artist and audience. In a time of shifting support for the arts, Dance In Progress offers a more immediate and personal way to build connection, community, and continuity for new work.
