Day With(out) Art 2025: seeds in a dying colony

Saturday, November 28, 2026 at 11:00 AM to Saturday, November 28, 2026 at 6:00 PM

ICA LA, Los Angeles

ICA LA is proud to partner with [Visual AIDS](http://visualaids.org) for Day With(out) Art 2026 by presenting *seeds in a dying colony*, a program of four newly commissioned videos that move through the afterlives of colonialism and the ongoing HIV epidemic. Across fractured histories and landscapes marked by extraction, the works trace how systems of power shape the body, memory, and experiences of care. *seeds in a dying colony* will feature four newly commissioned short videos by artists from across the world: **Edgar Hudson** (Tanzania), **Bruna Kury** and **Matheus Mello** (Brazil/Spain), **Sido Lansari** (Morocco/France), and **Micaela Cyrino** (Brazil). *seeds in a dying colony* will be screened all day at ICA LA from 11AM–6PM. Visitors will also have the chance to view exhibitions on view including *[Carl Cheng: Nature Never Loses](https://www.theicala.org/en/exhibitions/765-carl-cheng-nature-never-loses)*, *[Zoe Walsh: Gathering](https://www.theicala.org/en/exhibitions/798-zoe-walsh-gathering)*, *[Amia Yokoyama: Our Strange Hollows](https://www.theicala.org/en/exhibitions/831-amia-yokoyama-our-strange-hollows)*, as well as a Bookshelf Residency exhibition organized by Sming Sming Books and Kate Lester.
