WHAMMY!, Los Angeles

Draw, paint, etch and collage directly onto 16mm film to create beautiful and rhythmic animations. Direct animation is the technique of bypassing the camera entirely and applying materials directly to 16mm film. The results are gorgeous, abstract animations that are filled with surprising life and movement. No film or art experience necessary! At the end of the workshop we’ll screen our handmade films as a group and participants can take their work home. We will supply all materials: film, splicer, art materials, and projector. **TUESDAY, 11/10 · 7:00PM** *Presented by* *[T.A.P.E.](https://tapeanalog.org/)* *- a Los Angeles based 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to facilitating support for analog media through free digitizing, education, hands-on training, equipment rentals and volunteer opportunities.
