We will discuss basic concepts in digital preservation, walkthrough common care tasks for storage devices, answer questions, and showcase some helpful free and open-source software. Participants will learn about tools for: - Identifying duplicate files - Batch renaming - Moving files with fixity (sameness) tools - Generating a list of all the files in a folder (or on the entire device) Please bring a computer and your harddrive.
