The Mint, Los Angeles
**The Program** arrives at The Mint for a powerful evening of film, live music, and cultural conversation honoring the artistry, influence, and evolution of Black music. The evening will feature an exclusive screening of musical essays by Grammy Award-winning songwriter Harold Lilly Jr. (thankugoodsir), followed by a live discussion moderated by cultural strategist Sierra Lever — Founder/CEO of Category 1 Entertainment and former Head of Hip-Hop and R&B at Amazon Music. Headlining the evening is MacKenzie, the dynamic singer-songwriter known for blending timeless soul with modern energy. A Grammy-nominated songwriter and lead vocalist for New Power Generation, MacKenzie has performed on NPR’s Tiny Desk with Ghost-Note and graced legendary stages around the world including Paisley Park, KOKO London, Jazz Cafe, and New Morning Paris. His most recent single "Flavors" can be heard on all digital streaming platforms. The night will also feature performances by SEPH and Detroit's own Charity — bringing together a lineup rooted in soul, storytelling, and live musicianship. **The Program is more than a show or screening — it is an immersive celebration of Black music culture, legacy, and creative expression.**
