Hooray LA

Bob Baker Marionette Theater, Los Angeles

Hollywood isn’t a place….It’s a puppet show!  The people and places of the City of Angels come to puppet life in *Hooray LA!* First performed in 1981 for the Los Angeles Bicentennial and recently revived by our puppeteers, fabrication workshop, staff, and community collaborators, this production features a plethora of handcrafted marionettes inviting us to a celebration of the city including its rich history, from the LA River to the development of the LA freeways to the mountains of Griffith Park where one lone mountain lion looks for love… And so much more! When selecting your seats, please note the difference between seat types: -The MAGENTA seats are theater chair seats. -The GREEN seats are criss-cross-applesauce floor seating.-The LIGHT PINK seats are seats in our Puppet Parlor. These seats are behind a barrier and are not recommended for children or those who might have difficulty seeing above a 3-foot-tall railing. -There are also two designated WHEELCHAIR SPACES (without chairs) on the floor next to the left and right sections. Children ages 2 and under who will be sitting on a lap are FREE and do not need their own ticket! All guests must be at least 16 years of age or have a parent or guardian present.  Please note that while tickets are non-refundable; we are always happy to credit you the ticket cost to put towards another Bob Baker Marionette Theater production! Please contact us directly to arrange.
