The daughter of 1970s Columbia recording artist Samuel Jonathan Johnson, she grew up immersed in music and storytelling. Her projects Sweet Yesterday, Violet Flower, and Breathing showcased her rich vocals and socially conscious songwriting, earning television placements and recognition from BET J’s Soul Sessions as a Breakout Artist. A neo-soul artist with a timeless R&B sensibility, her music has reached listeners in more than 65 countries worldwide. With five full-length releases and a growing catalog moving toward her seventh project, Jones has also built a career in film music, contributing and music-directing songs featured in independent films, documentaries, and television productions over the past two decades.
