*The Sound of Gordon Parks* is an immersive exhibition that explores the lesser-known sonic dimensions of Parks’s artistic legacy. Join exhibition curator Justen Leroy for a dynamic conversation with Mario Sprouse, Parks’s longtime musical collaborator and arranger, and interdisciplinary artist Jason Moran, jazz pianist and inaugural Gordon Parks Foundation Fellow in Music. Together, they will discuss Parks’s approach to musical composition, his theoretical practice, the complexities of archiving his sonic works, and his deeply held view of music as a form of poetry.
