Join TAPE for hands-on introduction to shooting on 16mm with spring-wound Bolex and learn how to process your own film negative using non-toxic caffenol made out of house hold items coffee and beer! This is multiple workshops in one and covers a lot of ground - no experience necessary! If you've always wanted to get your hands on motion picture film, this is a great place to start! Participants will be guided through the ins and outs of the spring-wound Bolex camera, a camera known for enabling notoriously gorgeous cinematography on the fly - no power necessary! Take this camera anywhere and you're ready to shoot! Once we learn the camera we'll cover personal filmmaking techniques, what it means.
