Musicians who want to jam get in free with an instrument after 9pm (one drink minimum). **Kevin van den Elzen Quinet with:** - Barclay Moffitt, tenor sax - Julian Knowles, trumpet - Jeremy Siskind, piano - Mike Gurrola, double bass - Kevin van den Elzen, drums This new band plays the music of Shelly Manne's Quintet. Shelly Manne was one of the greatest and most prolific jazz drummers. He had a working band for almost 40 years. Kevin has received the music from various sources and will perform some of his most famous tunes. **Kevin van den Elzen** is an in demand jazz drummer, bandleader and educator originally from the Netherlands. He moved to LA to study with legendary drummer, Peter Erskine, at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music. He has played with John Clayton, Dick Oatts, Bob Mintzer, Josh Nelson, Nick Mancini, Danny Jonokuchi and many more. He has also worked with the big bands of Dave Slonaker, Clare Fischer, Mike Barone, the Bill Holman band, Dave Richards and Teryn Re. Kevin started the West Coast Jazz Hour interview series and bands together with pianist Josh Nelson.
