Pehrspace and AKP Recordings present Lesley Mok and John Herndon. ∆ **Lesley Mok** is a New York City-based percussionist and sound artist. Their work is guided by a continual search for the connection between the mundane and the divine, the experience and manipulation of time, and a desire to capture emotional dissonance and complexity. In their debut solo EP, transient, Lesley combines drums and electronics to paint a landscape that explores the sculptural qualities of beat-making, ambience, and movement. Inspired by free jazz, noise, sounds from the natural environment, and artists like Autechre and Ryuichi Sakamoto, this record traverses a soundscape that goes from kinetic maximalism to delicate stillness, creating a listening experience that bends and warps time. **John Herndon** is an American musician and artist. Based in Chicago, he is a founding member of the post-rock band Tortoise, where he plays drums and percussion. Herndon also works as a producer for instrumental hip hop under the name A Grape Dope.
