An AI policy researcher, an AI adoption leader, a tech whistleblower, and a science fiction TV writer to examine what that means for tech, business, and the world, and why AI’s future is too important to leave to Sam, Dario, Jensen, Zuck and Elon. The panel includes time for active brainstorming on how to bring AI safety into your own practice. Panelists: Erika Cheung, Theranos whistleblower and Executive Director of Ethics in Entrepreneurship Dorothy Fortenberry, Emmy-nominated sci-fi writer; executive producer on “Extrapolations” and co-EP on “The Handmaid’s Tale” Zara Fatima Abdurahaman, AI safety researcher and policy analyst at RAND Anita Schillhorn van Veen, strategy executive and AI adoption consultant. Moderated by: Melissa Lo, co-founder of the Women’s AI Collective. A social worker with a PhD in the history of science, she has coordinated infrastructures of care at the City of Santa Monica and managed strategic field-building at the Getty Foundation.
