African Video Club presents MIRROR MIRROR VOL. 5, an ongoing screening series dedicated to filmmakers across the diaspora. Join us for a special screening of *My Father's Shadow*, the debut feature from director Akinola Davies Jr. and the UK's submission for Best International Feature Film at the 98th Academy Awards. Set on the day June 12th, 1993 during Nigeria's first presidential election following years of military rule, the film follows two young brothers as they spend the day with their estranged father, moving through Lagos amid a country on the cusp of political change. An evening of film and good company.
