Pehrspace hosts a good ol' fashioned noise show for spring ear-cleaning, anchored by the visiting Mrs. Hands from Chicago, IL, and local acts Environmental Studies, Hexpressionist and Soiled Doilies. ∆ Chicago based sound artist and musician Nicole Alonso is Mrs. Hands. She uses unconventional sampling techniques and improvisation to create textured and collage-like soundscapes to explore themes of memory and identity. Her latest project Urethral Soundings will be released on 4/24/26 through LA based label, Silk Nest. This will be her first LA performance. ∆ Hexpressionist is procedural noise from Claremont, CA / https://hexpressionist.bandcamp.com ∆ Soiled Doilies is a performance duo (with an occasional guest) based in Los Angeles. They are noisy, absurd, joyous, and meticulous, yet improvised. Each performance is vastly different from the last, often relying on movement, sound, set dec, participation and undergoing. They’ve brought a new story to each performance in the local underground scene every month, for two years strong.
