**Screenwriter: **Ernest Lehman **Producer:** Herbert Coleman The ultimate Hitchcock thrill ride, centered on the Master of Suspense’s favorite theme: an innocent man accused of a crime he didn’t commit. Here, the poor sucker is an effortlessly cool Cary Grant (or is that redundant?), playing an advertising exec who’s mistaken for a spy named George Kaplan — and then mistaken for a murderer! His efforts to clear his own name and unravel a sinister conspiracy will take across the United States, from an epic train ride to an assassination attempt by airplane to a chase across Mount Rushmore. But hey, he does get to romance Eva Marie Saint along the way, so maybe it’s all worth it?
