Join us for an evening of creativity, reflection, and connection as we celebrate the films and stories of the 2025 cohort of the Promise Workshops. Now in their third year, the Promise Workshops unlock the empowering and expressive nature of filmmaking and share creative skill development with Los Angeles-area emerging adults. Guided by teaching artists, local filmmakers, Academy members, and museum staff, participants explore the many steps and approaches to filmmaking while developing their personal creative voices around themes of identity, representation, and community. The program culminates with a screening of the participants’ short films followed by a discussion with the filmmakers.
