Williams Join the Conservancy and partnering organizations Southern California Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects (SoCal NOMA) and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) for Paul Revere Was Here, a special tour celebrating architect Paul Revere Williams. Building on the opening of LACMA’s exhibit featuring materials from the Paul R. Williams archive, this driving tour visits seminal spaces which reflect a variety of Williams’s work. From a single-family residence to places of worship and an unforgettable office building, these places speak to Williams’s creative design as well as his dedication to service and community. The recent opening of the Paul R. Williams archives to the public—celebrated through landmark, collaborative exhibits at LACMA, The Getty, and USC—offers unprecedented access to his genius. By any measure, the accomplishments of trailblazing architect Paul Revere Williams are astounding. In a career spanning almost six decades, Williams designed more than 3,000 structures and mastered a range of architectural styles. And, as the first Black architect admitted to the AIA, he broke racial barriers and triumphed over racism, paving the way for future generations of talented Black architects. Saturday, November 21, 2026 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. $35 General Public $30 Members* Tour the buildings and meet the people that keep Paul R. Williams’s legacy alive! This driving tour includes: Visits to five historic places designed by Paul Revere Williams with on-site L.A. Conservancy docents, SoCal NOMA architects, and community members to help you learn more. Admission to LACMA’s Paul R. Williams: Architect for Living, which is free for tourgoers on November 21. *Tickets are on sale at LACMA’s website.
