William Finley stars as Winslow Leach, an aspiring songwriter who is betrayed by Mephistophelean record mogul Swan (Paul Williams, who also wrote the Oscar-nominated song score). His scarred face covered with a silver mask, Leach sets out to avenge himself upon Swan and reclaim his music. Co-starring SUSPIRIA's Jessica Harper as Phoenix, the singer who catches both Leach and Swan's eye, and Gerrit Graham in a hilarious performance as over-the-top glam rock singer "Beef," PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE didn't find success upon initial release, but has since won legions of fans.
