Join us for a series of live performances set among the Getty Center’s Central Garden, featuring poetic and musical collaborative soundscapes inspired by [The Scores Project: Experimental Notation in Music, Art, Poetry and Dance 1950-1975][1] . Informed by mid-century experimental artists like Yvonne Rainer, John Cage, and Benjamin Patterson in [the Getty Research Institute’s archives][2], poetry and music will float through the landscape, encouraging guests to create their own experiences: rest on a bench, lay on a blanket on the lawn, admire the view, or wander the pathways among the blooming spring plants as experimental performance vibrates through the air! Lineup: \ 11:30am–3pm: DJ [Sam Hockley Smith][3] \ 12pm: Words [def sound][4] and music [V.C.R.][5] \ 1pm: Words [Sophia Le Fraga][6] and music [Dustin Wong][7] \ 2pm: Words and music [N8NoFace][8] \ 3–6:30pm: DJ [Grandfather.][9] \ 3pm: Words [Michelle Tea][10] and music [Josephine Shetty][11] \ 4pm: Words [Megan Dorame][12] and music [M.A. Tiesenga][13] \ 5pm: Words [Sarah Yanni][14] and music [Maral][15] \ 6pm: Words and music [Patrick Shiroishi][16] Presented in partnership with [dublab][17].
