**Screenwriter**: Hayao Miyazaki **Producers**: Yoshio Sasaki, Toshio Suzuki, Yasuyoshi Tokuma, Matsuo Toshimitsu From the legendary Studio Ghibli, creators of *Spirited Away*, and Academy Award-winning director Hayao Miyazaki, comes a dazzling aerial adventure set in and above the scenic port towns of the Mediterranean. *Porco Rosso* follows the titular former fighter pilot turned bounty hunter as he pursues bands of sky pirates across the Adriatic Sea. After a mysterious curse left him with the face of a pig, Rosso embraces a life of relative obscurity. When the pirates hire an American hot shot pilot named Curtis to take him out, Rocco is forced to join forces with his former flame, the sultry lounge singer Gina, and an aspiring aerospace engineer Fio, for one final battle. Miyazaki’s mid-career tour de force retains Studio Ghibli’s signature whimsy while simultaneously offering a sobering meditation on anti-fascism and the traumas of war.
