In 1992, a new filmmaker burst onto the American indie landscape with a lean genre film as inspired by American noir as it was by contemporary Asian crime cinema. That film was RESERVOIR DOGS and that filmmaker was Quentin Tarantino. Ushering in a new era of genre cinema and inspiring a cool that would only be furthered by his follow-up PULP FICTION, Tarantino creates a world of ruthless criminals set to a soundtrack of pop hits from years past and featuring a script full of endlessly quotable dialogue.
