What does connection look like in the 21st century? Join us for an evening celebrating the release of Ryan Majoris' new album, "The World Has Become a Great Nerve". A meditation on connectivity in its many forms, and the seismic shifts technology is carving into our cultural landscape. The evening begins with exploration. Guests are invited to wander the space, discovering thought-provoking words and images scattered throughout. Each a quiet prompt for reflection. The performance opens with a sound bath to cleanse and center the space, followed by selections from the album performed live. Ryan will be joined by a string quartet featuring Emiko Rochelle, Kumiko Bankson, Nicki Chen, and Ian Gottlieb. Ryan is a composer based in LA. His work bridges organic instrumentation and atmospheric, texture-rich soundscapes.
