After surviving the events of the first SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE, Courtney Bates (Crystal Bernard) is still facing the trauma left in the driller killer's wake – including the hospitalization of her sister. She and her band set out for a freewheeling weekend – jamming out, eating Cheez Whiz, and partying with the boys. But in Courtney's mind, the killer is still closing in, and now his drill is attached to a cherry-red guitar! Writer/director Deborah Brock continues the focus on female friendship from the first film, but presents a wild shift in tone – from serious parody to humor-laced party film. Brock balances out a story of psychosexual trauma with pastel hues, fantasy gross-out sequences, and more than its fair share of musical numbers! The zany and irreverent sequel to the world's foremost feminist slasher parody, SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE II is a rockin' good time. (Alicia Coombs)
