Sound Bath in Realms of the Dharma

Monday, April 20, 2026 at 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM

LACMA, Los Angeles

Surrounded by the artworks in [*Realms of the Dharma: Buddhist Art Across Asia*](https://www.lacma.org/art/exhibition/realms-dharma-buddhist-art-across-asia), master Tibetan singing bowl artists and musicians Michael and Jahna Perricone and Shakti Armstrong will offer an immersive sound experience using singing bowls and resonant instruments, inviting you to slow down, listen deeply, and engage with the exhibition through mindful contemplation. **Michael and Jahna Perricone** weave mindfulness, music, and the luminous tones of rare antique Himalayan singing bowls (300–600 years old) into experiences that calm the mind, open the heart, and rekindle creative connection. Bridging the ancient with the modern, they invite conscious kindness into the present moment through Jahna’s gentle mindfulness guidance and ethereal vocals alongside Michael’s masterful artistry with singing bowls, guitar, and sound design, creating spaces where stillness sings and sound becomes sanctuary. **Shakti Armstrong **is a certified Mindfulness Facilitator through UCLA's MARC Institute, a division of the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, and a member of the International Mindfulness Teacher’s Association. As co-founder of Bodhisattva Trading Company in 1996, Shakti was one of the first direct importers of Tibetan singing bowls in the US. She has guided multiple generations of healing arts practitioners, sound therapists, musicians, medical professionals, clergy, teachers, yogis, and people from all walks of life to discover singing bowls and harness their power as transformational tools.
