LACMA, Los Angeles
Explore water as a powerful force in both nature and art. Through looking at artworks in LACMA’s galleries, hands‑on studio projects, and creative discussions, we'll discover how artists across cultures have represented oceans, rivers, rain, and water rituals, then experiment with drawing, sculpture, mixed media, and storytelling to create original artworks that reflect water’s beauty, movement, and importance to life on Earth. Taught by artist Beatriz Jaramillo **This program will take place outdoors on LACMA's campus August 10–14. The ticket price covers all five camp dates. Thirty-minute parking validations are provided for the Pritzker Parking Garage on 6th Street. A supervised one-hour lunch break is scheduled outdoors daily. Please pack a nut-free lunch and water bottle every day.** *Full refunds will only be granted if the art class is canceled by LACMA. Please notify us immediately if a student is unable to attend so that another student on our waiting list can attend class. A refund equal to half of tuition paid will be granted for cancellations made three weeks before class start date. No refunds for cancellations made less than three weeks prior to class start date.*
