Calling all LA River fiends. On May 17th the dreamers and the schemers once again picnic side by side with two performances to soundtrack our evening into sunset đ¸ Weâre blissed and blessed to welcome a trio of Nicole McCabe (sax), Dustin Wong (guitar + synth), and Isaac Sherman (modular synth) as they give the river shape and song. Expect the freest of improvisation, the deepest of tones, and that sense of genuine ecstatic joy of three brilliant friends coming together to have fun. Setting the tone for the evening are Trellis, a fresh new duo emanating longform environmental ambience thatâs going to feel so good along our beloved waterway. Their debut album Field of Coincidence is out now with the heads of Aural Canyon. RSVP for the pin drop (do not just google Glendale Narrows or LA River), or if youâve joined us on the LA River for previous concerts then you already know where to look. This is a donation-based gathering, open to and for all, and setting up on the river is quite a herculean accomplishment so please donate if youâre able. Pull up early to hang out, ride a bike, bird watch, read, do some yoyoâing, whatever fills your cup. Bring a blanket, snacks, an extra layer, a pup, a friend, and anything youâd like to feel cozy.
