WHAMMY!, Los Angeles
Always wanted to shoot Super 8? Now is your chance to play with this wonderful amateur film camera and stock, which can be used to make home movies, shoot professional films, and other creative endeavours. This workshop is designed as an accessible and fun intro to shooting on motion picture film, no experience needed. We will cover the basics of using a Super 8 camera and working with film as a medium. We will give a hands-on demo of the camera and detail the workflow needed to shoot, develop, and scan your film. All participants will have the chance to shoot part of a roll of Black & White motion picture Super 8 film. We will create moving portraits of one another, with everyone able to shoot and be in front of the camera as comfortable. We will send the film to be processed and scanned, then all participants will have access to the collectively shot roll of portraits. T.A.P.E.
