Vidiots is firing up the 16mm projectors for ***Sweet 16mm:** ******Czech Please!*** an evening of rare stop-motion animation from the former Czechoslovakia. With puppet and object animation; from the adorable to the dark and thought-provoking, this evening will open your eyes to the brilliance, vision and creativity of some of the greatest Czech animators including **Jan Švankmajer** – one of the world’s most brilliant and creative visionaries, **Jiri Trnka** – the founding father of Kratky Film Praha and the “Walt Disney of the East”,  **Hermína Týrlová** – the mother of Czech animation and the first animator (ever) to use wire-framed puppets, as well as work from the magnificently imaginative **Karel Zeman**, something extra-adorable from **Bretislav Pojar**, and even more celluloid rarities.  It’s a show that’s millions of minute movements in the making! Everything screened on 16mm film. With several prints on generous loan from **Smokehouse Films**.
