**Description:** Using found 16mm film we will scratch, paint, and alter images to create something totally new. Scratch animation is a cameraless animation technique that bypasses the camera entirely by manipulating film directly. The result is gorgeous, experimental animations that are filled with surprising life and movement. No film or art experience necessary! At the end of the workshop we’ll screen our handmade films as a group and participants can take their work home. **Supplies:** We will supply all necessary materials: film, splicer, art materials, and projector. **About TAPE** TAPE is a Los Angeles-based 501(c)3 nonprofit that helps people create, share, and safekeep analog media by providing low-cost digitization services, equipment rentals, hands-on training, and volunteer opportunities.T.A.P.E — Teach.
