This collaboration between BUFFY vets Drew Goddard and Joss Whedon had been in the works for years, shelved due to MGM’s financial difficulties despite rave reviews. The film is an utterly original take on the horror genre, wickedly subverting all expectations and blowing away crowds at film festivals. Yes, a group of remarkably attractive young people goes to a cabin in the woods, and you’ve probably seen that before – but you cannot possibly anticipate where this dark, chilling, brilliant film will go next. THE CABIN IN THE WOODS is an absolutely stunning blast and certain to become a monster classic. It's a movie that can be watched again and again, always bringing new surprises and delight.
