This collection highlights the videos' fragmentary compositional structure, where performers improvise scripted (and stilted) language to generate both absurdity and cogency. Rotating casts of friends and lovers (including Jugdeo’s long-term partner Billy Wright), play off one another to explore subtle transmissions of power, intimacy and alienation. Throughout, language flops and misfires, highlighting its inadequacy to communicate hidden dynamics in relationships.
