The Wende Museum, Culver City
Culver City Vice Mayor Bryan "Bubba" Fish hosts a town hall on civil liberties, privacy, and policing in Culver City. On Monday, November 16, the City Council will review the city's contract with Flock Safety, which runs 52 automated license plate reader cameras across Culver City. Before that vote, come share your questions and concerns and hear from a panel: Vice Mayor Fish; Rosalind Jones, a KnockLA reporter who covers Flock and surveillance; and Stephen Jones, an organizer with the community group Our Culver. The Council approved the five-year, $668,200 Flock contract in 2023 on a 3–2 vote. In July 2025 it suspended sharing Flock data with outside agencies and required regular reports from the Culver City Police Department. Now the contract itself is up for review. Check in at the garden gate. A reception in the garden starts at 6 p.m., and the program runs 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the A-Frame Theater at the Wende Museum.
