TreePeople and SMACON Present: Join us for Wildfire Resilience: A Transcontinental Conversation on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 3 pm in the TreePeople Schuman Family Foundation Conference Center. Initiated by 2026 Goldman Environmental Award winner Dr. Iroro Tanshi, this exhibition explores the shared challenges of wildfires and the collective efforts to protect wildlife and livelihoods across continents. Through the work of photographers Aaron Colussi and Etinosa Yvonne, the exhibit highlights connections between communities in Nigeria and the American West, focusing on both the impacts of wildfires on wildlife and the inspiring actions taken by local people to build resilience. Guests are also invited to attend an intimate dialogue with Dr. Tanshi at 4:00 PM.
