Rooted in trauma-informed care, this training introduces learners to the underlying drivers of emotional, physical, and psychological crises and how to use your tone of voice, body, and language to help de-escalate high intensity situations. No prior experience, education, or training necessary. About the instructor: Ben Adam Climer has been a crisis counselor working on, developing, and training non-police mobile crisis teams for 11 years. He has helped develop and/or train mobile crisis teams in over a dozen cities and at two Universities of California. Has trained hundreds of social service workers, crisis counselors, medical professionals, and community members in crisis intervention and de-escalation. He is currently the Training Director for Exodus Recovery's UMCR (Unarmed Model of Crisis Response) in the City of Los Angeles and consulting trainer for crisis de-escalation for CAPSLO (Community Action Partnership San Luis Obispo).
